Morning Star was blessed in a big way today. Leesa and Galyn Dalton brought 20 fleece blankets (with Bible verses embroidered on them by Leesa) for the children in our care. When they left, Leesa said, "Just let me know when you give them out so I can replenish, either for a boy or a girl".
John told Galyn and Leesa how much it means. Galyn simply said, "It's for kids."
It is hearts like these that lift the fallen, heal the wounded, and restore the broken. Thank you both!
Thank you Ezell Harding, for the beautiful new stove that you brought today for the emergency residence at Morning Star! There will be much more than meals coming from this stove. This stove represents moms and children who will gather around a table to eat together and be together and plan together...and heal together.
Thank you for your incredible generosity.
Seasons of Hope was a great success because of YOU! We will now be able to provide over 3,000 nights of safe stay for women and children. We are stopping the cycle of domestic violence. The decorations, meal and fellowship provided will go a long way in promoting Morning Star and making the community aware of Domestic Violence today. What an amazing way to help Victims heal and become Survivors.
THANK YOU!
Thank you to the Predators Foundation for their generous donation!
Our very own Gena Hull has been selected to receive the highest honor given by the Nashville Coalition Against Domestic Violence: The Jean Crowe Visionary Award. Gena is truly the heart beat of Morning Star and we are so proud of her and all she has and will continue to accomplish on behalf of the victims of domestic violence.
This is considered the highest award that the NCADV gives and we could not be more pleased to have our very own as our award recipient.
